Enlyton’s real-time intraoperative imaging and gamma probe detection will change
the way cancer surgery is done
Gamma Probe Detection
Both before and after tumor removal, Enlyton technology will help the surgeon better assess the extent of disease in the operating room and answer the question “did you get it all.”
DID YOU GET IT ALL?
The question might come from family, friends, or especially the patient. “Did you get it all?” or “how did you do?” are probably the most common questions a Surgeon will have to answer following surgery. Enlyton’s Technology will help answer these questions.
Detection of cancer during surgery is currently limited to traditional surgical methods (i.e., seeing and feeling). The surgeon must then make an educated guess that what is being removed is cancer and an adequite margin of normal tissue has been established. In reality it is not what the surgeon removes, but it is the hidden/undiscovered tumor the surgeon leaves, that leads to poor outcome (i.e. survival).
